Is font-awesome loaded?

Please check .angular-cli.json. You should have following code inside:

"styles": [
"../node_modules/font-awesome/css/font-awesome.css",
"../node_modules/simple-line-icons/css/simple-line-icons.css",
"scss/style.scss"
]
