ng g c views/pagename not working

I have downloaded an Angular theme from
git clone https://github.com/coreui/coreui-free-angular-admin-template.git my-project
After npm install when going to create the component using angular cli(ng generate page views/schools), strange thing generate in file, in generated component.ts file content looks like
