Adium 1.6 beta (1.6hgr5915)

- It lacks explanation for every chat config. For instance, how does "allow chat encryption" differs from "use chat encryption when available". We know they are related to the OTR policy but I fell it lacks explanation (if you want this to be configurable). - What is the "default" option?

- It warns that when the peer's identity is not verified but you cant actually read it.

- Defaults to "Fingerprint", then "Question", then "Shared Secret". - It gives me 3 alternatives for verification, but it lacks explanation.

- Lack explanation

- Has some explanation. - Support using a file as the shared secret (which is simply an array of bytes).

- No explanation.

- No explanation for "Encryption" config options.

Tor Messenger (Alpha)

- Warns when the conversation is not private (does not say "encrypted"). - Warns me when I have not verified the other peer's identity - and leads me to the verification screen.

- Defaults to "security question", then "shared secret", then "fingerprint". - Has very nice explanations for all of them.

- Reduced settings (required or not) and it applies safe defaults for you (I assume).

- Fingerprint manager.
