It would be really cool if nvpy was able, not merely to find notes which have the words you are searching, but if it also offered a way to search within the note. In particular, it would be nice if one could jump to the next / previous highlighted occurrence in the current note (it occurs to me that using f3 (like Firefox does) could be assigned for this).

Although the missing search motivates me to break large notes into smaller notes - within one screen it is easy to to see all highlighted occurrences at once. And smaller notes are somewhat easier to work with.
