[4.x]: Dropdown fields with empty value show the label in element index table

What happened?

Description

We have a dropdown field where the default option has an empty value and a label “Select an option…”. Entries which are saved with the field untouched show empty in the element index. But if an option with a value was saved before and it then gets reverted to the option with empty value, the field shows the “Select an option…” label in the element index table.

Expected behavior

Dropdown fields with empty value show empty in the element index table.

Actual behavior

Dropdown fields with empty value show the “Select an option…” label in the element index table.
