It would be nice if Entries fields made it possible to restrict the selectable entries to specific entry types.

Would be good if the entries that are selectable via an entry field could be restricted by entry type, too.

I agree with Christian that a CriteriaModel would provide the ultimate flexibility... however implementation could be tricky. When loading the data later (on frontend) would entries that no-longer match the criteria model still be returned? Not to mention the UI for configuring the field could be cumbersome.

There's great use cases for your plugin Lewis, but it can't replace entries fields, with its great UI to select from hundreds of entries and reorder the selected ones afterwards.

As a temporary workaround it can be done with this plugin :

https://github.com/lewisjenkins/craft-lj-dynamicfields

You can make anything selectable, based on any criteria you like.

What about adding other filters too? Categories? Or even via an ElementCriteriaModel?
