I see others have posted about this issue. This used to work for Redmine 2, but with Redmine 3.3 you need to use the form here - https://github.com/thorin/redmine_image_clipboard_paste

I post again on this issue because it took me literally days :-) OUCH!

Hi,
it seems to be related to the new Chrome release 58.0.3029.96 (released on 4/5/17).
It is working well in Redmine 3.3 with older Chrome version.

Wow, that's great info, and it does match up to what I was seeing - everything was working one day and it all just stopped working the next - and it would have been 2 or 3 weeks ago so presumably when Chrome did an update on my machine. Anyways, like I say, I'm just not good enough to be able to know what is different about this code and the thorin branch - but that thorin one does seem to work and this one does not. FYI I am using the latest bitnami stack which is, I think, Redmine 3.3. Having said that, I think this is one of the most useful plugins available for redmine. Simple and easy - excellent stuff - so I wanted to post so people would have the info. Thanks again for your info - M

Same error in Firefox 53.
Drag-and-drop works just fine

Agree it seems to have changed with Chrome 58.

thorin/redmine_image_clipboard_paste@6e47e3852 may already have a fix for this behaviour?

Switching from this version to thorin/redmine_image_clipboard_paste fork fixed it on our Redmine 3.3.0.stable.

Wasn't able to make a PR as the linked change does not apply cleanly against master, too many other changes :|

Recommendation from @xurizaemon works on my Redmine 2.6.6.stable.
Thanks!
