R CMD CHECK throws warnings when building against R 4.1.0 because of more stringent checks of linking in the documentation. The problem is already discussed here and here.

The current status of the fix does not help us, because we inherit some documentation from other packages (that should currently get the same warnings, e.g. knitr). So let's hope that either the check is dropped or yihui will roxygenize knitr soon with the patched version of roxygen2.
