Cryptomator Symbolic link issues? #879
Comments
So far symlinks have only been added to FUSE. @infeo Or am I mistaken here? |
But creating symbolic links requires admin privileges under windows. Due to security reasons only the user which started cryptomator can see unlocked vaults and therefore the command fails. You have to start Cryptomator with admin priviledges. The feature of dropping the current-session-only-flag depends on #802 . Edit: Sorry, i assumed the vault provider. @qjn1 What Mount method is selected in the settings? If it is dokany, then my statement holds. |
@infeo Can you elaborate on the comment that symbolic links work? Does that mean I can create symbolic links between files in a Cryptomator vault, or is that still in development? |
Oh, i see that i need to correct myself. This is a feature to be implemented. Thanks for asking! |

Shouldn't this be tracked in dokany-nio-adapter? |
Already tracked there: cryptomator/dokany-nio-adapter#29 |
With the release of Cryptomator 1.7.0 Dokany is officially deprecated. Therefore, we close all Dokany related issues. We suggest to switch to WinFsp in the preferences. |
Basic Info
Tested with Cryptomator 1.4.7 on Windows 7 and currently Windows 10
Description
I've been trying to get it to work. Is it working on Cryptomator or is it yet to be added fully?
On windows 7 I was able to set it up, but it does not sync or ‘work’, at all. On windows 10 (Using the general tool new-item) all I get is a “Cannot find drive. A drive with the name ‘E’ does not exist.”
