Occasionally the temperature shows only one digit (9° specifically in my case). The current temperature on the screen shot was around 44°. I had this issue for long time on different Macs.

I've also seen this issue occurring randomly with my MacBookPro18,3 -- specifically with the GPU temps. They'll fall to 9º for one tick, and then either go back to an accurate value for the next tick, or be stable for a while (it's quite random).
In my case, Stats also reported 9º at the same time.
