If possible, it would be nice of the provider would tell me that it is a cgi binary when called directly.
(And potentially the version, number, see #66).

Help and version are provided by the parser, #191 adds a check on whether the provider was called through the command line and if it was prints an additional error message. If #191 is okay then this issue is solved.
