admin file/folder renamed again on upgrade #1444
Comments
Is this with the auto upgrade tool? I have never experienced this. |
This isn't using the auto upgrade but when doing a manual upgrade |
Wierd! I've upgraded loads and never had this once. |
Are the upgrade issues going to be fixed soon? My store says 6.1.3 but I don't have the upgrades such as the create folder box in admins/products/ images. I don't know what else. Is there a file comparison between 6.1.1 and 6.1.3 somewhere so I can see the changes? |
You can do that here on GitHub. Please clear your browser cache or do a hard refresh on the edit product page. |
Upgraded three stores yesterday manually from 6.1.x to 6.1.3 and can't reproduce this. |
I had an admin and an admin_SRxxxx folder. All the edits were in the admin folder. I deleted the admin_SRxxx and renamed the admin to admin_SRxx. Everything seems to be working now. I had upgraded manually as my 6.1 had not informed me an upgrade was available. |
@claudia39 Did you use the force button? |
I think I did one time. When I couldn't get the upgrade to work I tried several different things. |
There are still a few issues when upgrading sites
If a site already has the changed admin directory and admin.php file - both of these are changed again - these should stay them same once they have been changed from the old original admin and admin.php. They can be manually changed if store owners want to rotate them every now and again.
When a site already has names changed, then an admin directory and also admin.php are created which are the actual new code for the new version which of course would not be used !
