ratings (stars / thumbs-ups) should decay over time

a simple rating system like the one that seems to be used by OpenRepos gives advantage to once-good-but-now-obsolete contestants against currently-good ones. old votes should weigh less than current votes.

example: a home screen patch might have been great in 2015 but won't apply on current SFOS in 2021.

That might be a good idea, on the over hand, votes can be applied to certain version of the apps.
