I run the evaluate_compression.exe in win10, intel i7-6700, and the speed is very slow. Input with 3 .ply files of 2M size, it took about 1.5min.
The CPU usage when running this was only 20%,
I set thread_num from 1 to 4, but had no effect,
and the usage also keep 20%. (I think the CPU usage when running evaluate_compression.exe, should reach 60% or more? )
I dont konw what's wrong with it.

@KainanSu development on this repository has pretty much stopped. The underlying codec is now part of the https://github.com/cwi-dis/cwipc suite (as the cwipc_codec submodule).
Various performance improvements have been made to that version of the codec in the last years, could you try to test whether these address the issues you have found? And, if not, please post another issue to that repo.
But: the delta coder is known to have issues (both performance issues and stability issues), and those have not been addressed yet. So there is a chance that it will make little difference...
