Chromecast when AndroidTV is asleep

Someone mentioned this app as a potential workaround to a known issue in Android TV:

Chromecast is disabled when the device is asleep.

I've managed to sideload the app, but now I'm not sure what to do to fix the chromecast issue.

Any ideas?

More specifically, I've tried to enable: CPU, WiFi normal, CPU high performance.

It did not solve the issue. I'm not sure whether it means the app did not do anything at all (is there a way to check) or if those toggles won't solve the Chromecast issue.

I'd guess that either a CPU wakelock fixes it or this app is not the solution to your issue.

To confirm you could probably use a wakelock monitoring app to see if the lock was acquired.
