Search History (module for Omeka S)

New versions of this module and support for Omeka S version 3.0 and above are available on GitLab, which seems to respect users and privacy better than the previous repository.

Search History is a module for Omeka S that allows user to save search and to callback it via the guest account.

Note that a similar module exists: Selection, that allows not only to select resources and to store them in selection sets, but to create dynamic selection with a query.

Installation

Install the module Guest.

Uncompress files in the module directory and rename module folder SearchHistory. Then install it like any other Omeka module and follow the config instructions.

See general end user documentation for Installing a module.

Usage

A button is added in the bottom of the browse view (via theme or via module [BlocksDisposition]), so the user can save the last search. The user can see the search history via a link in the guest user account.

Warning

Use it at your own risk.

It’s always recommended to backup your files and your databases and to check your archives regularly so you can roll back if needed.

Troubleshooting

See online issues on the module issues page on GitLab.
