How can we add strings as Values for X-Axis using the latest version as it supports only Double type?

Have a look at IndexAxisValueFormatter. As far as i know it is the recommended way to do this.

I had some problems with it though. A possible solution is to lock zooming and set a fixed number of labels. I pointed this out in Issue #1909 .
