Installing XML tools causes XML language server extension to fail on load

Steps to reproduce

Install XML tools extension
https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=qub.qub-xml-vscode
Install Annotation XML language server extension
https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=SAPSE.sap-ux-annotation-modeler-extension

Open annotation.xml file from attached project xml-sflight.zip

Initial analysis looks like node modules are outdated.
Error is thrown from zone node module or from application insights
