Is it possible to forward messages?

Use case

Chrome Extension <-- (stdio) --> Chrome Native Messaging Host <-- (websockets) --> Electron App

My Electron app wants to call a method of the Chrome Extension, which needs to communicate via the messaging host.

What is the best approach for this scenario?
