@rgardaphe's notes in this these slides include a preliminary list of stakeholders for whom we want to sketch User Journeys. That list was generated by @ebarry and @flyingzumwalt during the sprint in October.

I've entered that list into a Data Together Stakeholders sheet on Airtable.com (super useful tool!) and mapped those categories to real stakeholders who we're engaged with or could engage with.

We can close this issue when @ebarry @titaniumbones @dcwalk @b5 and @flyingzumwalt have confirmed that the current list is sufficiently accurate for us to proceed with generating user journeys. Everyone is welcome to chime in on this -- please do -- we just won't close this issue until we have input and agreement from those people.

The current list of categories is:

  • Application Developers (D-Web)
  • Community Orgs working for equity
  • Federal Data Managers
  • State & Local Data Managers
  • Community Science Groups
  • Crowdsourcing Initiatives
  • Networks of data contributors
  • Autonomous Data Collection Efforts
  • Researchers - institutional
  • Researchers - independent
  • Labs sharing data
  • IOT device manufacturers
  • VR, AR, MR and Game Developers
  • GLAM Institutions
  • Internet Infrastructure

Question for @ebarry -- is there any way we can consolidate these ones under a single heading?:

  • Community Science Groups
  • Crowdsourcing Initiatives
  • Networks of data contributors
  • Autonomous Data Collection Efforts
... and which heading does Public Lab fall under?
