Using the Api class in conjunction with the query builder utilities should allow you to get going quickly without drowning in verbose request configuration and response payloads.
Internally, each of the ES Kit Api functions use the ES Kit helpers. If an Api function doesn't work exactly like you need it to, simply copy the code from source and pick and mix your own implementation.
The Api class is simply the sum of the various helper functions, combined into a simple one-liner method.
