Lua 5.3 support

Hello and thanks for the effort of making this project. I've kind-of ported it to work under lua 5.2, but still no luck running it under lua 5.3. Are there any plans to make it happen?

This library is 10 years old with a commit around 8 years ago. I also need a library like this, maybe somebody can fork it.
