Missing family - descendants of David Lascelles #44
Comments
Also all grandchildren of the 7th Earl of Harewood. |
This whole area gets complicated because members of this family tended to get married some time after the couples' first children were born. Children and grandchildren of George Henry Hubert Lascelles, 7th Earl of Harewood, b 1923-02-07, d 2011-07-11:
I'm pretty sure the list of grandchildren is complete, but there are probably some more great grandchildren. Notes on changes in title.George Lascelles became the 7th Earl on the death of his father on 1947-05-23; before that date he had the courtesy title Viscount Lascelles which he inherited on the death of his grandfather on 1929-10-06; at birth he was Hon. George Lascelles. David Lascelles became the 8th Earl on the death of his father on 2011-07-11; before that date he had the courtesy title Viscount Lascelles which he'd held since birth. Alexander Lascelles inherited the courtesy title Viscount Lascelles on 2011-07-11; before that date he was just Hon. Alexander Lascelles. Sophie Lascelles married on 2011-06-11 and took the surname Pearce. Ellen and Amy Lascelles may be married: they're old enough, but I can't find any information. |
PS. Is it useful if I post things like this for you to import? |
Very useful. Thanks. I've just started work on an "exclusions" system. So I'll be able to add in illegitimate and Catholic (and married to Catholic) people and display them in the lists (but clearly marked as excluded). So complete lists like yours will be great. |
Given that you currently include Mark Lascelles, the illegitimate youngest son of George Lascelles, the 7th Earl of Harewood, you should probably also include Martin Lascelles, the illegitimate youngest son of George's brother Gerald Lascelles:
The situation is almost the same in both cases. Gerald married Martin's mother some years after Martin's birth, just as George did with Mark's mother. |
Can't remember how far I got with this. Need to double-check. Might be able to close it. |
