Karura-Forest-Changes

The Google Earth Engine script above is used to asses the land cover changes in Karura Forest using landsat satellite images from 2001 to 2020. It accomplishes the following

1. Collect and pre-process annual Landsat imagery
2. Perform supervised classification of the AOI
3. Compute annual changes between forest and non-forests
4. Plots a chart of total area under forest on an annual timespan (2001 - 2020)

The Karura Forest extents is based on the forest data available in the ICPAC geoportal
