Support for PBI Desktop Windows Store App #12
Comments
Can you clarify what is the behavior of DAX Studio in that condition? |
I understand the problem. The issue is that we need to be able to reproduce the situation, and we need a version of Power BI Desktop that works on our PC to do that. |
Darren: I didn't have any problems intstalling the PBI desktop app. If I can assist with anything le me know we are in the same time zone and I am available on Managility contact details. |
I can see what the issue is - the location of the data folder looks like it's abstracted by the App. I'll need to test a few options to see how best to work around this. |
OK, I have a preview of build 2.7.1 up on my OneDrive if you would like to try it out. It has a new and improved method for locating local instances of tabular engines that seems to be working with Power BI Desktop, the Power BI Desktop App and the Visual Studio designer instances. |
This works great. Thanks a lot Darren! |
Support for this was added in v2.7.1 |
Currently Windows Store App is not recognised as a PBI source in the Studio.
