When he is targeted during the use of techniques, the script is ignoring him. Rabbit's Deception sends any other Kung Fu dude in your posse home booted and Zhu's Ferocity places the additional bullet on the action card itself rather than El Armadillo. Rabbit's Lunar Leap will not add him to the posse, either.
