Popup appears and is unusable, after several seconds it crashes (or closes)

I am able to launch the plugin. I see the same save file dialogue that i see in the demo. When i hover my mouse over the plugin, it shows spinning wheel (like it is thinking). After a few seconds it just disappears or crashes. Can't find any error log or evidence that there was an issue.
