Celine has come up with an improved strategy for resizing shapes on the Debrief plot (applicable to all versions of Debrief).
When the object is selected in Outline panels, handles are visible around the object: dots that the user can grab easily to extend or reduce the size, and on hover over the object outside of the handles, the mouse cursor changes to arrows in 4 directions, allowing the user to move the entire object without changing its size and shape.
This is the way this functionality is implemented in most applications, including Google Drawing.
In the current version, it was very difficult for me to find the exact place where I could grab the object and move it, I had to hover all over the form waiting for the hand to turn green.
Here's a video demonstrating how Debrief supports it, then the standard way of supporting drag/drop resize: https://youtu.be/TBq_jdGBQSI
