Latest dgb core releases (7.17.x) are on par with bitcoin core 0.17, so that's good.
That also means no compact filters (and there's no neutrino chain service fork), thus full-node clients only. Also non-segwit. But does have segwit.
This is very much like how we started with litecoind initially, so should be fairly trivial.
Hopefully tx and block serialization is unchanged from btc. There does not seem to be a custom address format, so btcutil.Address should be fine with it.
I see a big sync to v22 features in https://github.com/DigiByte-Core/digibyte/pull/63, which brings them up to speed with bitcoin core v22 (including segwith and hopefully compact block filters.).
