I suggest keep configuration in a separate module and import it in mcinstall.py.
Also, explore generating configuration from .yml.
This will make configuration user-defined so that if user wants to install particular version of miniconda then he can mention that in .yml.
E.g. Currently, we are installing the latest version of miniconda.
