I am looking for a maintainer for nflgame-redux. Please pass around this link (where I go into a bit more detail) or just point people to this project. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you feel like you are the one who can give nflgame the TLC it deserves and potentially combat the ridiculous circumstances behind this projects atrophy.

Seems like BurntSushi had a car that needed an oil change. You changed that oil and drove it for a year and then the engine fell out, the tires fell off and the manufacturer of the car - and only supplier of the parts - went out of business.

What exactly comes with "the keys to the kingdom"?

Just wanted to thank you for taking over when BurntSushi decided to leave the project, so it could live for another year (two?). Much appreciated!

As far as taking over, I'm not the guy and I don't know what there is to take over as the entire application is built around data sources that are no longer available. If someone has a good idea for it then it's gonna be exciting to follow, though!

Agree with mickeelm above, you did a great job derek. As it relates to the new NFL api, etc, will all of this work if a license is purchased? If so, does anyone know the cost of that? You can probably see where I'm going with this...

Thank you all, it was a good experience for me and i'm glad to have helped contribute to the open source ecosystem.

Great question @RSABryan. Yes, it could... but why? If you are paying for licensing this project doesn't really buy you much. The real purpose of this project is to provide free and open access to NFL stats and data... which by the way isn't exactly something the NFL is keen on.

This project will exist really for education and a fun data set for novice coders to play around with; outside of that it really doesn't have much place in this world.
