Copy Commit Message to Clipboard #7518
Comments
Hi @velara3, thanks for opening this. The commit description text is selectable so you can copy it by selecting the text and hitting Command/Control+C. Could you elaborate a little more about how adding a dedicated action for copying would simplify your specific workflow? |
A "copy the commit message to clipboard" would be useful when updating bug reports in internal log systems, when updating an application readme under the version, when posting announcements of new features in the forums, and when posting announcements via email. |

I'm looking for an easy way to copy the entire commit message, as the "header" and "body" are broken up, requiring two separate select+copy. Even triple-clicking to select both would be a start. |
sorry @zaus there's no room for either of our clipboard buttons. see: |
Requested in #15214. |
This would be really helpful |
