I used my G1 connect to the pc's vlc server successfully,I can remote the 
vlc medium player,but I can not see any video playing on my phone,on 
android-vlc-remote,I can get the video's name, the other function is 
ok,but the window which should play the same video on the phone just 
nothing.
can you help me to solve this problem?thank you for this great app.

The little window is actually for album art.  Unfortunately, VLC's album art 
feature
doesn't work too well, so it's often blank.  I should probably change the empty
square to make it more obvious that it is for album art.  Think of the app more 
as a
fancy remote control for VLC on your PC.  There is a feature request for 
streaming
video to your phone 
(http://code.google.com/p/android-vlc-remote/issues/detail?id=1),
but it's not a high priorty so don't hold your breath :)

The app now has a less confusing placeholder for missing album art.
