<h2>Flyers Racing Team and Cycling Club</h2>
<p>
Since 2008, the Dark Horse Flyers racing team and club have been at the
front of competitive and development cycling in Ontario. Through the
participation of its members, we continue to push our limits in bike racing,
triathlon, and charity rides.
</p>
<p>
The club is intended for road, cyclocross, and mountain bikers, as well as
triathletes. It is open to people who are beginners (but who are active and
have a decent fitness level) as well as racers. We are an
<a href="http://www.ontariocycling.org/" target="_blank;">OCA</a> affiliated
club.
</p>
<p>
Both men and women are welcome. Our group rides are organized based on
ability, ensuring that everyone has an enjoyable and safe time on the
road.</p>
<h3>How to Join</h3>
<p>
<ul>
<li>Review and complete our
<a href="docs/2012_Flyers_Risk_Management_Plan.pdf" target="_blank;">Risk
Management Plan</a> and the
<a href="http://ontariocycling.org/web_doc/club_forms/20120223-144148-2012%20Club%20Insurance%20Waiver.pdf" target="_blank;">OCA
Waiver</a>.</li>
<li>Turn in the signed waiver to a ride leader or email a scanned copy to
<a href="mailto:flyerspayment@gmail.com">flyerspayment@gmail.com</a>.</li>
<li>Pay the seasonal club membership fee of $60 by sending an email money
transfer to <a href="mailto:flyerspayment@gmail.com">flyerspayment@gmail.com</a>.
This fee includes insurance with the OCA, which is required to
participate in any club ride or event. This non-refundable fee is
reduced to $20 for those with valid proof of a current, <i>full</i> UCI
license.</li>
</ul>
</p>
<p>
Please note that the club reserves, at its sole discretion, the right to
reject or cancel memberships at any time with cause. Reasons include, but
are not limited to: overdue membership fees; incomplete/invalid membership
forms; and hazardous cycling (i.e. endangering yourself and/or others).
Processed membership fees will not be refunded.

<p>
A portion of the membership fee is donated to
<a href="http://www.trails.ca/" target="_blank;">Trails Youth Initiative</a>,
which the Flyers have been supporting since 2009.
