The export and import of meshes is still hacky and should be cleaned up (and verified against MARS).

It seems a problem only occurs when links contain scaling, which is not corrected for in the export. I doesn't occur to me as a good idea to simply apply scale upon export, this is rather something the user should control and correct consciously.
