Older versions of Diffractor did support drag and drop. Multiple users have requested this back.

It was removed to simplify the UI. I think a simpler version of drag-drop would satisfy requests:

Dragging selected items out of Diffractor would allow a HDROP
Dragging items into diffractor could open or copy depending on where the drop is. (Media panel or files panel.)
