Rarely, special characters aren't encoded correctly (encountered only 2 times thus far over the past months):

Haven't been able thus far to reproduce this "artificially", e.g. by means of excluding certain fonts/css/js from being loaded, but I'm quite sure it must have something to do with external resources not being loaded correctly/completely.

This was actually due to a problematic Opensphinxsearch / PHP configuration setting, which truncated POST content bodies exceeding a certain size, thus returning unparsable and/or incorrectly encoded XML. I have adjusted the respective settings.
