Generate Causes Error and no Controls

Tried using rigacar for the first time today, not sure if I'm getting this error since I'm using the blender 4.0 update that got released a few days ago or if I'm doing something else wrong. I followed the steps on the website for rigacar but when I hit generate instead of giving me a blue box with controls it pops up with this error and makes a whole bunch of new bones everywhere.

This addon is almost dead, it stopped working normally back in version 3.4. With each subsequent version the addon works worse and worse. Try generating the rig in earlier versions.
