Local heritage - local list - locally listed buildings
In our recent research and analysis locally listed buildings have come up quite a lot as something we should get onto planning.data.gov.uk.
We started looking into them and quickly realised locally listed buildings are one part of local heritage lists/assets and when planning authorities publish their lists it is often under the name local list (for example, Camden's local list).
Our understanding is that there is no requirement under legislation to produce a local list. However, it is recommended to protect contributors to the local area's character.
