After enrollment, in addition to your student ID, you will receive a semester ticket by post. With the ticket, you can use public regional transport in Bremen, Niedersachsen and some towns outside of Niedersachsen.

You can find all information about the semester ticket at Bremen University AStA's Semesterticket page.

The semester ticket is included in the semester fee, so it doesn’t have to be paid extra.
University of Bremen provides an overview of the composition of the student fees.

For 16 Euro, you can upgrade your Semesterticket to use it in the whole regional public transport system in Germany (Deutschlandticket). The University of Bremen's AStA provides more info on that.
