Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

We ask for certain information about github repositories - repository name, branch names, etc. Right now there is no way to validate these resources actually exist.

Describe the solution you'd like

I don't want to make hooking up the github provider required, but I want to add an example showing how a user can leverage the github provider to pass in certain values about their repository to ensure the roles and policies being configured relate to existing resources.
