Option to use a tab instead of a pane? #1
Comments
Thanks! Not having magit was really holding me back from moving to Atom. I can look into this, but it will be very low on my list of priorities. Give it a try for a while, and if you still feel it ought to be in its own tab, we can work on it. You may discover that you feel the way I did after a few weeks: having it appear in a consistent place is actually a big UX win. Also, you can resize atomatigit as a sidebar -- until we get resizable panes, having it in a tab/pane would lock it into a fixed width :(. I'm sure resizable panes are coming soon. |
I too would love to see it in its own tab. Not as a replacement for this, but as an option. Being able to edit a bunch of files, then hop over to the tab quickly and see everything, was one of my favorite features of SublimeGit, which seems to do the same thing |
+1 The pane somehow seems to take away space. I live with it, yes, but I'm not excited. |
Having this in it's own tab - or the option to open diffs in their own tabs, really, would be a big improvement. Viewing difs in the pane is very cramped - or you have to keep yo-yoing the width of the pane all the time. |
Vote for tab #105 +1 |
This is looking very good. As a heavy magit user (and then Sublime Git) I was thinking of writing this myself.
Is there any way to get an option to use a full tab instead of a pane? Particularly after using emacs for so many years it seems really strange.
Great job.
