Weight probabilities by the distribution of distances and radial velocities in the hybrid catalogue (in this file).

Things to consider:

  • Just NEOs or everything?
  • Best way to do this? Probably astropy coordinates and transformation to GCRS?

Mario suggests the best way to go about this is not use the full NEO distribution but instead up-weight the most dangerous orbits.

But we're not going to worry about this for now and instead focus on the algorithm, will return after talking to Lynne/Peter/Davide.

I think we've decided not to do this for the moment so I'm going to close it for now and can re-open if we change our minds
