Expected or desired behavior

No error.

Actual behavior

Hello since recently, I often have this error when using "b u" aka bookmark unread when I want to read my new mails.
The first hit on "b u" trigger the error, the second hit show the unread mails as usual.

So the error is in the title:

error in process sentinel: mu server process received signal 11

Steps to reproduce

It's difficult to reproduce, it happen only sometimes.

Versions of mu, mu4e/emacs, operating system etc.

Emacs-28.0.50 but happens as well on Emacs-27.
Mu from master.

Any other detail

E.g. are you using the gnus-based message view?

Yes.

Oh, signal 11 is a segfault.. are you able to get a backtrace? E.g. coredumpctl can get those, if you're using that.

I you have coredumpctl installed, it should be quite easy; execute coredumpctl, see the mu crash (and its PID), and execute coredumpctl info <pid>, with <pid> being the one from the list.

Update: Today I had no error since I have upgraded xapian to 1.4.5.1, crossing fingers :-) I will let you know if I still don't have error with this xapian version.

After nearly a week using xapian 1.4.5, I didn't have one error. Also sometimes, mu4e was hanging forever with a buffer "loading message...", this doesn't happen anymore, messages are loaded very fast.
Maybe documenting the usage of at least this xapian version would be good or forcing its usage when building.
Thanks.

Oh, that's good news! Thanks for testing. Let's hope that was the root cause.
