For example the rendered signature of PhantomCovariantAlwaysSendSync currently looks like:

type PhantomCovariantAlwaysSendSync<T> = PhantomData<PhantomCoFnWorkaround<T>>;

in which the "workaround" part is not confidence inspiring. It would be worth investigating whether we can have these rendered in a tidier way.
