Panels with different widths

Hy there I would LOVE to be able to specify panels with varying sizes.

For example
3 vertical panels with 50px, 10px and 50px width.

Is there a way how this could be achieved?

This is something I have in the works. More specifically, I'd like to also add a mode where the size of the panels are variable and automatically determined by the dimensions of the target element's immediate children.
