Missing icons in XFCE #313
Comments
Yep, go to appearance settings and select an icon theme (I recommend Tango). Never got around to figuring out why an icon theme isn't selected by default. That needs to be investigated. |
Thanks, works great :) Should we keep this open as a bug, or close it as my question was answered? |
Let's keep it open to track. Definitely something worth fixing. |
are the icons actually missing, or just sized so they aren't displaying by default? I've had a few chroots (with xfce) that I needed to change desktop theme or viewing preferences before the folder or program icons became visible (on the ARM). |
@tedm, it's just that no theme is enabled. |
right, just go to applications / settings / appearance / icons and change from GNOME to one of the other 3 options, and icons show up right away. |
Fixed in master for new chroots. |
I'm missing icons in xfce, see screenshot.

I was expecting the files in the file manager to have some kind of icon. Currently they are text only. I was also expecting the items in the Application Menu to have item-specific icons. Now a lot of them just show a generic icon.
Is there any way to make the missing icons appear?
