I searched the code but I couldn't find any references to the links feature. What is swarm's networking model? This should be clearly defined to be able to build a distributed system.

Perhaps this is just a documentation bug.

Links are currently not supported by Swarm.
Networking and clustering are two different (but related) issues and Swarm is only focused on the latter.
