Description

I'm experiencing an issue with Docker Compose where a service is set to depend on itself, which results in an error. This behavior is unexpected and should not occur.

Steps To Reproduce

  1. Create a docker-compose.yml file with the following content:
services:
  myservice:
    image: traefik/whoami
    depends_on:
      - myservice
  1. Run docker compose up.

What would you expect here but an error being reported?
