black game window switch back to vtx from vt7 #826
Comments
DXVK doesn't even know what an X server or a virtual terminal is, so this is almost certainly not my bug but probably a driver issue of some sort. Can't tell though, because you didn't even post log files. |
this game switch back to vtx will restore soon with wine buildin dlls, dxvk never restore.
|
if i start another xserver from vtx, switch back to vt7, run DISPLAY=:1 wine game.exe, with wine buildin dlls, runs fine, switch vts fine. with dxvk failed to launch game exe with error: D3D11CoreCreateDevice: Failed to create D3D11 device. |
That's not a DXVK bug, that's because you're running the game in an environment that most likely doesn't support presentation for Vulkan devices. TL;DR don't mess around with multiple X servers and weird setups for Vulkan. |
running vulkan-smoketest present the same problem, so its not dxvk bug, please close this report. |
Software information
x86_64 bit wine-staging 3.21 lutris wine 3.15 precompiled binary
System information
i start another xserver from another tty such as vt2 but not default vt7 so can use nvidia as primary video card, launch game then switch back to vt7 and switch back again, the game window totally black nerver restore. i cant see any useful info from log file or wine info output.
glxgeas or wine game with buildin dlls dont have the same problem. so maybe its dxvk's problem?
